Role Summary/Purpose: To provide professional and proactive HR administration support to GE businesses in Spain and Portugal through effective relationships with GE HR community and Payroll & Benefits team and solid working knowledge of GE HR systems, processes and procedures. Promote best in class service while working cross functionally with internal teams and suppliers.

We offer a Fixed Term contract of 1 year duration.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain employee documentation (personnel files/ labor contracts, additional agreements) in accordance with country labor legislation and Data Privacy regulations
  • Provide and maintain documentation of employment termination/job change, promotion/change in working time/maternity leave
  • On-boarding of new employees to GE by creating offer letters, employment contracts and new starter packs.
  • Processing of employee salary increases, bonuses, awards, allowances and deductions
  • Maintain HR Oracle database, ensuring highest standards of completeness, accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation
  • Manage HR document circulation in an appropriate and controlled manner
  • Coordination of employee benefits, including company cars and GE share plan
  • Provide My learning support and manage Vocational Found process
  • Provide HR Data reporting support
  • Ensure that high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained with appropriate controls in place, taking accountability for compliance with relevant legal and GE policy requirements.
  • Consistently follow defined HR processes, challenging steps that may not make sense / add value
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the GE HR community through timely and accurate administration of HR processes, ensuring effective communication and early identification of requirements and any service issues
  • Proactively manage HR partners and customers to ensure timely resolution of transactions
  • Deliver on commitments, manage expectations and keep customers informed on progress and taking clear accountability and ownership throughout the process
Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Formal Education: Formación Profesional (FP) / Ciclo Fomativo Grado Superior or equivalent in Labour Relations.
  • Fluency in Portuguese, English and Spanish language
  • Spanish / Portuguese Labor and Employment Law and Regulations knowledge
  • Spanish / Portuguese Payroll and accountability knowledge
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, high standard of accuracy, an attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills.
  • Proficient IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Effective interpersonal skills; proven ability to develop and maintain team and client relationships, both in immediate and remote contexts
  • Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
  • Confidentiality and controller mindset
  • Flexibility and adaptation to new environments
  • Availability to relocate if needed
  • EU work permit

Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.
